Defender Matthew Connolly is still sidelined with glandular fever and Mikele Leigertwood has been struggling with flu.
Reading manager Brendan Rodgers is waiting on the fitness of defenders Ryan Bertrand and Matt Mills.
Bertrand suffered a knock to his head during the defeat at West Brom and Mills has been nursing a shin injury.
Four of the last eight meetings between these two clubs - including both of last season's matches - have ended in goalless draws. But the form book suggests another one is unlikely.
QPR are capable of destroying any side that gives them room to play, and proved it again on Saturday by thrashing Preston 4-0 at Loftus Road.
That does not bode well for Reading, whose defensive lapses and problems scoring goals have left them hovering just above the bottom three.
Now they have the task of containing the likes of Akos Buzsaky, Adel Taarabt and Wayne Routledge, who were outstanding for Rangers at the weekend.

• QPR have won only one of their last nine home games against Reading.

• QPR are undefeated in 11 home league matches and have lost just one of their last eight league games.
• Their 4-0 win against Preston means Rangers' home victories have been by a progressively wider margin - one goal, two, then three and now four.
• Rangers have hit the woodwork nine times in Championship games this season - more than any other club.
• If on the field from the opening whistle, Mikele Leigertwood will be making his 200th career league start and Peter Ramage his 100th club career start.
Reading
• Reading have lost their last two league games and are in danger of tumbling to three successive league losses for the first time since April 2008.
• Four points from the last six games leaves the Royals joint bottom of the Championship's 'form' table, along with Ipswich.
• Brendan Rodgers' side are the only one in the Championship to have lost three matches from winning positions.
• They have failed to score in half of their league games this season (six of 12), which is a league low they share with Swansea.
